20MW True North solar project in Texas, Avangrid's first solar project in the state, begins operation.
Renewable energy company Avangrid has begun producing power from the first phase of the True North solar project in Texas, a 20MW installation marking its first solar project in the state. Upon completion, the 238MWac solar farm will be the largest in Avangrid's portfolio and provide power for a future Meta-operated data center in Temple, Texas. Full commercial operation is expected by the end of the year.
