Local residents in Dublin's Barrow Street have objected to Google's plan for a pub at its Bolands Mill campus, citing safety risks for children and noise disruption. Google Ireland Ltd has lodged plans with Dublin City Council to change the permitted use of the campus's Unit 3 Building B from retail, cafe, restaurant, marketplace to a public house. Google's planning consultant, John Spain, argues that the public house use will enhance the campus's attractiveness.
