Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announces a partnership with CIG Motors & IBILE Holdings to acquire 5,000 new vehicles for the LagRide e-hailing taxi fleet. 2,000 vehicles are expected in the first phase, with 1,000 electric cars to reduce fossil fuel dependence & lower carbon emissions. The initiative, launched in 2022 with 1,000 cars, aims to improve mobility & support e-hailing, carpooling, chauffeur services & tech-driven logistics.
