Japanese firm Metaplanet, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, has purchased 21.88 Bitcoin (BTC) for $1.26 million, increasing its total Bitcoin holdings to 225.611 BTC. The acquisition mirrors MicroStrategy's strategy to hedge against Japan's economic pressures, high debt, negative interest rates, and a weak yen. Since adopting BTC as a treasury asset in April, Metaplanet's stock has risen over 90%.
