Indian BJP MLA Pannalal Shakya advised students to open motorcycle puncture repair shops instead of obtaining degrees, arguing that nothing would be gained from degrees. Speaking at the inauguration of a 'PM College of Excellence', Shakya criticised the focus on education without considering the practical application of skills. The event was e-inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in 55 districts of Madhya Pradesh, part of the New Education Policy implementation.
