Former Loretto Hospital executive, Anosh Ahmed, and two others are charged in an indictment for embezzling $15 million from the Chicago health care facility. Ahmed, who was the hospital's CFO and CEO, is accused of working with Heather Bergdahl, the former chief transformation officer, and Sameer Suhail, owner of a medical supply company, in a scheme from 2018 to 2022. The three are accused of issuing payments to fake vendors for services not provided, with funds going to accounts controlled by the defendants.
