Despite a 16.2% decline in feed and 25.1% drop in fertiliser costs, Central Statistics Office data shows farm output prices have risen by 1.1% since May 2022, mainly due to a strong increase in sheep prices. Electricity costs for farmers have fallen by over 20% in the past 12 months. While the Agricultural Input Price Index declined by 10.4%, some cost increases were recorded in pesticides, services, and maintenance prices.
