Econet Wireless Zimbabwe reports a 74% increase in data usage and a 46% rise in voice usage for Q1 2024, with data and voice revenue contributing 42% and 38% of total revenue, respectively. The telecom firm has commissioned over 30 new sites for network expansion, focusing on urban, peri-urban, and rural areas to enhance coverage. Econet aims to increase its 5G penetration, planning to commission additional sites by the end of the financial year.
