The Colorado Avalanche acquired goalkeeper Kevin Mandolese and a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick. Mandolese, 23, has a 3.30 goals-against average and an .896 save percentage in the AHL. The Senators also made a minor deal with the Edmonton Oilers to acquire Xavier Bourgault and Jake Chiasson. This trade follows Ottawa's second-worst record in the Eastern Conference last season.
