Chinese researchers discovered a new fern species, Cyrtomium adenotrichum, in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, South China. Found on a cliff in Nandan County, it is distinguished by its sparsely glandular leaf axis and classified as critically endangered due to rarity, small population, and fragile habitat. Researchers plan to study its biological, ecological, and medicinal value further.
