A BC realtor, Rashin Rohani, has been banned from the industry and fined $130,000 for falsifying income documents to buy five North Vancouver properties through an unregistered mortgage broker. The B.C. Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) revoked Rohani's licence, ordered her to pay a $40,000 penalty and $90,000 for enforcement costs, and found her guilty of professional misconduct. Rohani used an unlicensed mortgage broker, failed to disclose payments from the broker to clients, and falsified income statements on mortgage applications, including her own.
