32-year-old truck driver, Jake Wassink, faces Dubbo Local Court after pleading guilty to falsifying rest periods in his truck log book. Authorized officers from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator discovered the false entries during a stop along Hume Highway, Coolac on November 24, 2023. Wassink was found to have falsely logged a rest period from midnight to 10am on November 23, despite his truck being seen traveling on Mitchell Highway at 1.06am and 1.22am on the same day.
