60-year-old bicyclist critically injured in Rancho Peñasquitos hit-and-run: A 60-year-old woman cyclist sustained life-threatening injuries, including a significant brain bleed and a fractured neck, after being struck by an SUV that fled the scene in Rancho Peñasquitos on Sunday morning. The collision occurred at around 8:40 a.m. on Rancho Peñasquitos Blvd. The San Diego Police Department is investigating the incident.
