Evan Alan Wright, author of the "Generation Kill" book that inspired the HBO miniseries of the same name, has died by suicide at the age of 59. Wright, known for his reporting during the War on Terror, traveled to Iraq and Afghanistan for Rolling Stone and authored "Generation Kill" while embedded with the United States Marine Corps. The book was later adapted into an eight-episode HBO series in 2008, which earned critical acclaim.
