55-year-old cold case: Police search Hertfordshire farm for possible remains of Muriel McKay, kidnapped in 1967.

Police are conducting a fresh search at a farm in Hertfordshire for the possible remains of Muriel McKay, a woman kidnapped and killed over 55 years ago. McKay was abducted and killed in 1967 after being mistaken for Rupert Murdoch's wife, and this investigation marks the latest development in the ongoing search for answers about her disappearance. The decision to search the farm again came after Nizamodeen Hosein, one of the convicted kidnappers, reportedly revealed the location of McKay's body. The farm was also previously searched in 1969 and in 2022, but her remains have never been found.
