29-year-old Athens man, Antowne Shalmar Lay, was found dead near Antioch Church Road and Gus Barnett Road in Jackson County, Georgia. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating the death, which was requested by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
