Arkansas ace Hagen Smith, a left-handed pitcher, was selected as the 5th overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. Smith became the highest-drafted pitcher in the history of Arkansas baseball and the first Razorback to be selected in the first round since outfielder Heston Kjerstad in 2020. The White Sox have five more picks in the following rounds of the 2024 MLB Draft.
