2014 UK tax fraudster Mohammed Suleman Khan, known as 'The General', defrauded the taxman of £450,000 and built a £2.3m mansion in Pakistan resembling Buckingham Palace. His initial prison sentence was 4 years, but it extended to 14 years due to unpaid confiscation order. As of May 2024, Khan owes £3.7m to HM Courts & Tribunals Service, including £1.5m in interest, but has paid back only £1,700.
