Supreme Court extends stay on Lok Sabha Secretariat notices summoning West Bengal officials in a breach of privilege case until July 19.

18th Lok Sabha: The Supreme Court extended the stay on notices issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat summoning West Bengal's chief secretary, DGP, and others, related to alleged breach of privilege, till July 19. The top court had earlier granted two weeks for replies to the plea of West Bengal's top bureaucrats against their summoning by the Lok Sabha's privileges committee. The committee had summoned them over a complaint of misconduct filed by BJP MP Sukanta Majumdar during his visit to violence-hit Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas.
