Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu, has described the state's environmental sanitation as 'unacceptable', with 104 out of 113 cholera cases in Nigeria occurring in Lagos. In response, the governor vowed to enforce stricter penalties on offenders who litter drains and remove manholes. Sanwo-Olu also directed relevant authorities, stakeholders, and residents to plant 20,000 trees in the next year to mitigate climate change effects.
