Kremlin warns of European capitals becoming targets if US deploys long-range missiles in Europe, per spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

The Kremlin warns that European capitals could become targets if the US deploys long-range missiles in Europe, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Speaking to a Russian state television reporter, Peskov said that Russia has the ability to counter US missile deployments in Europe. During the Cold War, American missiles based in Europe were aimed at Russia, and Russian missiles were aimed at Europe. Peskov said, "We have enough potential to deter these missiles. But the capitals of these (European) states are potential victims."
