The floods affected Asadabad city, the provincial capital, and other districts, causing damage to residential houses, infrastructure, bridges, and agriculture land. The Afghanistan Meteorological Department had warned of heavy rains, lightning, storms, and flash floods in 22 out of 34 provinces.
