India's automobile retail sales grew 9% in Q1 FY25, led by two-wheelers and three-wheelers, with tractor sales down 12.44%.

Automobile retail sales in India grew by 9% in the June quarter of FY25, reaching 61.91 lakh units compared to 56.59 lakh units in the same period last year, according to FADA. Passenger vehicle retails saw a modest 2.53% growth, with 9.2 lakh units sold, despite challenges such as high competition, excess supply, and discounting. Two-wheelers and three-wheelers sales led the growth, while tractor sales declined by 12.44%.
