China's industrial output increased by 5.3% in June compared to the same period last year, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics. On a monthly basis, the industrial output grew 0.42% from May. The year-to-date increase for January-June was 6%. This growth in industrial output measures the activity of enterprises with an annual main business turnover of at least 20 million yuan (~2.8 million USD).
