Wholesale sales in Canada fell 0.8% in May, excluding petroleum and other hydrocarbons, according to Statistics Canada. Sales declined in five of the seven subsectors, with the largest drop occurring in motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts and accessories (-3.8%). In contrast, manufacturing sales rose 0.4% to $71.4bn, driven by higher production in the aerospace product and parts industry group (+11.2%).
