Azerbaijan's green energy share in electricity generation reached 15% during the first half of 2024, according to Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov. Renewable energy production rose by 950.7 million kWh, with hydropower contributing the most, while electricity production from thermal power plants amounted to 11,525 million kWh. Azerbaijan exported 444 million kWh of electricity and imported 96.4 million kWh.
