50-year-old Jayson Halterman died after hitting a deer on his motorcycle in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County on Friday night. The crash occurred at 10:30 PM on Stone Church Road when Halterman, not wearing a helmet, struck the deer, causing him to be separated from his bike and hit a utility pole. He was pronounced dead an hour later. State police are investigating the incident.
