Philippine Airlines propeller plane overshot Busuanga airport runway in Palawan due to poor weather, causing airport closure; all passengers and crew safely deplaned.
A Philippine Airlines (PAL) propeller plane with 53 passengers and four crew members overshot the runway at Busuanga airport in Palawan province on Sunday afternoon due to poor weather conditions. The plane safely stopped on a grassy area beyond the runway, causing the airport's closure and diverting incoming flights to other airports. PAL is working with related authorities to restore normal operations, and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines is expected to investigate the incident. All passengers and crew were safely deplaned.
