Peshawar High Court (PHC) ruled that Pakistani women married to Afghan nationals can hold dual nationality, and their children are entitled to dual citizenship until age 21. The court directed the federal government to issue Pakistani Origin Cards to 95 families and CNICs to their children. The court also declared illegal the act of blocking CNICs of Pakistani women based on their names appearing in Afghan Citizen Cards/Proof of Registration Cards records.
