2 Nigerian journalists and families abducted in Kaduna, held for 7 days, then released and receiving treatment in Abuja.
On July 6, two Nigerian journalists, Abdulgafar Alabelewe of The Nation newspaper and Abdulraheem Aodu of Blueprint newspaper, along with their families, were abducted in Kaduna, Nigeria. After seven days in captivity, the journalists and their families were released and are now receiving treatment in Abuja. The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) expressed gratitude to various authorities and well-wishers who facilitated their release and supported them during this difficult time.
