Ghana confirms nine dengue cases in Eastern Region, initiating outbreak investigations.

Ghana has confirmed nine cases of dengue in the Eastern Region, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS). The GHS stated that samples from patients tested positive for dengue, and the national surveillance team detected malaria-like illnesses in some districts of the Eastern Region not responding to recommended malaria treatment. The GHS added that a team of specialists from the national level has joined the regional team to conduct detailed outbreak investigations.
