Edo State Government warns against disrupting court proceedings in the case between Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, and aggrieved Enigies (Dukes) on July 15, 2024. The suspended Enigies led by Duke of Evbuobanosa and Egbaen Siluko Dukedoms, Prof. Gregory Akenzua and Chief Edomwonyi Ogiegbaen, sued the monarch at the Edo State High Court, challenging their suspension from office. The state government has uncovered plans by unscrupulous elements to stage a protest to disrupt court proceedings.
