EastEnders won seven awards at the inaugural RadioTimes.com Soap Awards, including Best Soap and Best Actor for Angela Wynter. The ceremony, hosted by former EastEnders actor Brian Conley, also saw EastEnders win Best Exit, Best Episode, and Inspiring Storyline of the Year. Coronation Street won Best Storyline and Best Young Performer, while Emmerdale's Lisa Riley took home Best Comedy Performance.
