Cape Cod mass stranding of over 140 dolphins confirmed as the largest in US history, according to animal rescuers. The stranding event, which began on June 28, involved a total of 146 dolphins in the shallow mud flats of Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Out of these, 102 dolphins survived, with 7 euthanized and 37 dying naturally. This marks the highest number of dolphins beached in a single stranding event in the US.
