Multiple Chinese provinces reported strong trade in green electricity and certificates in the first half of 2024, driven by increased global and domestic demand to reduce emissions and supportive policies. Green electricity and certificate transactions in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region surged significantly, with 860 million kWh and more than 1.44 million green certificates sold during the period.
