Cariboo Memorial Hospital's emergency department is temporarily closing overnight due to nursing shortage, with services unavailable from 5:30pm July 13th to 7:30am July 14th. Patients can access emergency care at nearby hospitals. Interior Health has also announced a temporary closure of the emergency department at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in Clearwater on July 14th, from 6am to 7pm, also due to limited nursing availability.
