73% of Canadians surveyed by Abacus Data don't see June's Bank of Canada rate cut affecting home affordability or the housing market. The survey, conducted after a 0.25% interest rate reduction, also found that 80% of respondents don't expect the rate cut to impact affordability, especially older Canadians. Only 35% believe the cut will influence housing market activity, with 46% expecting no change in sales.
