108-year-old Ipoh Town Hall to be transformed into performing arts centre for RM11M, as part of Ipoh Heritage Tourism initiative.

108-year-old Ipoh Town Hall will be transformed into a performing arts centre by early next year, funded by the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority for RM11 million. The white colonial-style building, once a British administrative centre, can accommodate 600 people and houses an old post office being restored into an art gallery. This is part of the Ipoh Heritage Tourism initiative to preserve the city's heritage buildings.
