65-year-old dump truck driver from Fort Walton Beach, FL, suffered injuries after a medical episode caused him to hit the Wilkerson Bluff overpass on I-10 in Okaloosa County, causing significant damage to the bridge. The driver, who hadn't lowered the dump bed, also damaged a following pickup truck with debris. The driver was airlifted with facial and head injuries. Westbound I-10 lanes at mile marker 50 remain closed.
