Pakistan's PM plans to transition agricultural tube wells to solar energy in Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aiming to save $2.7bn in FX and promote sustainable energy.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif aims to collaborate with provincial governments in Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to shift agricultural tube wells to solar energy. This transition would save Pakistan US$ 2.7 billion in foreign exchange and promotes sustainable energy solutions. Sharif also urged the adoption of smart metering systems for improved billing accuracy and electricity theft prevention.
