New York State considers banning gas-powered lawn equipment sales from 2025 under Bill A705.
New York State is considering a ban on the sale of gas-powered lawn equipment from January 1st, 2025. Assemblymember Robert C. Carroll proposed Bill A705, which, if passed, would amend the environmental conservation law to prohibit the sale of gasoline-powered leaf blowers and lawn mowers in the state. The bill has been in the Environmental Conservation committee since January of this year.
