Mizoram Police arrested two drug peddlers, including a woman, and seized drugs worth over Rs 32.53 crore, in one of the largest hauls this year. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a Bolero car moving from Champhai district to Aizawl and recovered 10.7 lakh Methamphetamine tablets. The accused, Lalrintluanga, confessed to importing the drugs from Myanmar. Methamphetamine, a highly addictive stimulant, is commonly misused in Bangladesh, neighboring countries, and India.
