Government denies extension to BSNL CMD Purwar; DoT officer Robert J Ravi likely to be given additional charge. Purwar, who took charge in July 2019 for five years, had applied for an extension. Indian Telecom Service officer Ravi, with 34 years of experience, is currently serving as Deputy Director General at the Department of Telecom and will have his second stint at BSNL.
