Ghana's CLOGSAG strike ends as government promises to finalize and implement new salary structure by October 31.

Ghana's Civil and Local Government Staff Association (CLOGSAG) has called off a nine-day strike after the government agreed to resolve a salary dispute. The government committed to finalizing the new salary structure by October 31 and implementing it from January 1. The strike was initiated over the government's failure to implement the new salary structure, which was due for implementation in January 2023 but had been delayed for one and a half years. The civil and local government workers declared an indefinite strike on July 3.
