Couple in Devon face a new-build nightmare after their £275k property was valued at just £1 following a catalogue of major defects. Dayle Dixon and Mark Lee bought the three-bedroom home in 2018 using almost £55,000 from the government's help-to-buy scheme. The property, which they purchased from Barratt Developments subsidiary David Wilson Homes, was valued by independent chartered surveyors at £1 after the defects emerged.
