The Charity Commission has found significant weaknesses in the safeguarding, governance, and management of St. Laurence Educational Trust and Ampleforth Abbey Trust, which run Ampleforth College, an independent school in North Yorkshire. The inquiry discovered numerous instances in which the charities failed to manage safeguarding incidents appropriately and highlighted the need for continued improvement.
