Carlos Daniels, a Starkville man, is facing two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his mother, Linda Daniels, and his girlfriend, Chancie Ware, in Winston County. The investigation began after a woman discovered bloody clothes and bedsheets in her garbage can, leading to a welfare check at the victims' home. Daniels was arrested on unrelated warrants and is also charged with stealing a pickup truck from a Lowe's store.
