43-year-old nurse, Lucy Woodhouse, was diagnosed with a brain tumor which caused her to believe people were speaking in a foreign language. She attributes her tumor to hormone replacement therapy (HRT), Depo-Provera contraceptive injections, IVF treatments, and HRT medication containing the hormone progesterone. Doctors have advised her to stop taking HRT due to its links with meningioma tumors, which are the most common type of brain tumor and predominantly non-cancerous.
