17-year-old Duke freshman Cooper Flagg wins Gatorade Best Male Player of the Year award at the ESPYS.
Cooper Flagg, the incoming Duke freshman, won the prestigious Gatorade Best Male Player of the Year award at the ESPYS. Considered one of the most prestigious honors for high school athletes, past winners include LeBron James and Jayson Tatum. Flagg had been playing for Montverde Academy in Florida and played in a Team USA scrimmage in Las Vegas, drawing attention from NBA players.
