Vietnam's pepper exports value increased by 30.5% to $634.2m in H1 2024, despite a 6.8% volume decrease, with the US as the largest importer.

Vietnam's pepper exports increased by 30.5% in value to $634.2 million in H1 2024, despite a 6.8% decrease in volume to 142,586 tons. The US was the largest importer with 37,435 tons, up 44.6% YoY. Black and white pepper exports totaled $539.9m and $94.3m respectively. The Vietnam Pepper & Spice Association predicts a 10% decrease in volume to 170,000 tons, the lowest in 5 years, due to rising prices.
